Longboarding is super fun, easy to learn, quick, efficient and cheaper then your car. If you’re a chick, it makes you look hot. If you’re a dude, it gives you a moderate amount of street-cred. Except with skateboarders. But that’s just “board envy”.

shortboards are for wimps who don’t wanna go fast? are you high? i’m 61 and i ride fish… when i get really old i will certainly get a longer board, but for now i love pumping down the line, going really fast (on an ACTUAL wave and not in some plankers delusional fantasy world), banking off the bottom and hitting the lip..you know….surfing..oh wait you don’t know..you ride a frigging longboard.. there are people who ride longboards really well but for the most part they are the refuge of the lazy, clueless kooks. people who don’t want to put in the effort to get in the kind of shape it takes to ride a real surfboard . i would probably be more tolerant of longboarders if so many of you weren’t wave hogging a-holes. you think because you catch waves further out to sea than short boarders that somehow you are better surfers or something..I don’t know for sure..i mean, who can get inside the head of someone who uses surfings version of a golf cart… who would want to?… face it..you’re all worthless and weak…

hay i am 47 and about to buy my first board since i was 16. yes iam old i have a wife a son in collage and a morgage. i am also a teamster vice president.so no i am not trying to kill my self,but i would love to recapture some of the magic of riding a skate board again.not to be cool or for street credit,so i am going to buy a long board to cruz, it must be great tobe young with fire.so when u see me cruzin my long board in your town cut me some slack and maybe u will be lucky enough to have what i have an still a burning disire to ride

Cemeteries. It’s a weird but awesome place to go and cruz around in. The paths between grave sections are usually really well paved and there’s often some nice rolling hills that aren’t too steep but allow you to pick up some big speed before flattening out.

I LOVE to longboard, even though I’ve just started recently… probably three or four weeks ago. Anyway, I’ve been keeping my eye on one on E-bay. I’m a girl by the way, lol. We usually go to a wide spaced area to practice or go down hills. So… you should DEFINITELY try to longboard. It’s awesome. (;

Whenever I see skateboarders, it’s just a group of kids in a circle seeing who can ollie their board the highest or do other dumb tricks.
Longboard is about riding, carving, and bombing. Not going back and forth on a half pipe – which is about as much fun as watching NASCAR.
