150. Bust a Lean
Whether it’s up against a graffitied wall, a lamp poll or a hitching post, nothing says “just hanging out” like a good lean.
A well executed lean is the coolster’s way of telling the world that, “Hey, I spend most of my day doing cool things with other cool people but, if it’s alright with everyone, I’m just going to take a break right now”. The quintessential expression of standing casual.

I learned the artful nuance of the lean from one of the masters: Hot Corey. It’s still my go-to stance as there really is nothing cooler.
But I thought I’d give you a heads-up on a sweet pose I learned this spring: it’s called the lunge.
While it’s not as hot as a primo lean, it has its own merits, and works as well with a group as it does solo. I found this example: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2652/3850102815_d686e0128c.jpg
It feels good, and – I think you’ll agree – it looks amazing.
